Before Becoming a Movie Industry Joke, Blake Lively Starred in This Underrated 2015 Fantasy Drama

It's time to move on from the Lively-Baldoni beef and try to remember the actress for the beautiful role she once had in a ten-year-old movie.
When people stop talking about your talent and start following your public bickerings with others in the industry, isn’t that a red flag for your career? Even if you still have lots of fans and the ones who support your point of view.
Well, recently Blake Lively ended up in a situation like that. Her public spat with actor-director Justin Baldoni has sparked conversations, earning her some not very good-looking labels. And while the beef is still going on and new revelations are still coming, we thought it might be better to focus on what really matters: the art.
Blake Lively’s career trajectory has been full of twists and turns. From playing the glamorous Serena van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl to becoming a red carpet staple, Lively’s path has also seen her in films that often left audiences questioning what went wrong.
However, ten years ago Lively starred in one of her best movies called The Age of Adaline. And while it only has a 55% Rotten Tomatoes score, we still think you have to check it out.
Why The Age of Adaline Is Worth a Watch
Released in 2015,the movie tells the story of Adaline Bowman, a woman who never ages. The strange thing happened to her after a car accident that caused her to stop aging at 29 years and influenced the rest of her life.
Living a solitary life to avoid drawing attention to her personality and appearance, Adaline experiences a quiet, internal battle between the love she desires and the pain of knowing she will never grow old with anyone. We see that she has some friends and keeps in touch with her daughter (who already looks like her grandmother), but the silent pain in her eyes is also there.
Lee Toland Krieger's film received mixed reviews, but many critics agreed that Lively's performance was one of its strongest elements. Her ability to portray the weight of a life spent in isolation, while maintaining a sense of youthful wonder and sadness was captivating. And the film's fantasy side helped to delve deeper into themes of love, loss, and the passage of time.
