Before The Monkey, Oz Perkins Made a Twilight Zone Episode With a Surprisingly Low IMDb Score

A story from one of the leading horror makers of our time certainly did not deserve such a cold reception.
In 2020, the second season of the Twilight Zone anthology was released. It featured Jordan Peele, Oz Perkins, Ana Lily Amirpour and other authors of modern horror. However, the collection of exciting stories for horror fans still remains in the shadow of the greatness of the old releases.
Jordan Peele's Twilight Zone Wasn't a Success
The first season of the revived Twilight Zone, created by Jordan Peele, was met with a cool reception, and Peele and his colleagues took the criticism into account when preparing the second season.
The episodes became shorter and the stories moved away from the moralizing and preachy tone and became more entertaining. However, this did not take the Twilight Zone reboot to a new level.

Criticizing consumerism isn't the hardest thing to do, but You Might Also Like is a funny, mysterious, and inventive episode.
Despite Its Low IMDb Score, You Might Also Like Definitely Deserves Attention
Some of the critics even declared it a masterpiece, and that is the main paradox of this episode – on IMDb You Might Also Like has the lowest score not only of the season, but of the entire reboot.
And this is the case when you should not look at the ratings. If you were planning to return to Twilight Zone, then getting to know Jordan Peele's version should start with Perkins' story.
The director has reworked the episode To Serve Man from the third season of Rod Serling's original Twilight Zone and included in it a criticism of the modern reality of a consumer society, confused by advertising and believing that with the purchase of another gadget you can find great good.
The episode breathes classic Twilight Zone horror, and that is reason enough to watch You Might Also Like.
