Bella Ramsey Wants to Join MCU: "They Do Need to Make a New Superhero For Me"
The Last of Us’ actress is eager to join Pedro Pascal now that he’s no longer in HBO’s show, but the role Ramsey wishes for the most might be occupied for years to come.
Now that The Last of Us's Joel is only likely to appear in flashback scenes, the show's current and only lead Bella Ramsey is ready to star in whatever project that would reunite them with Pascal, even if it means meeting him somewhere in the Marvel universe.
However, Ramsey’s dream role in the MCU isn’t the one to be on the market right now, which is why they’d rather opt for a different kind of movie they’d die to be in alongside Pascal.
Bella Ramsey Says They “Could Be Spider-Man” in a New Marvel Movie
Now that Pascal is booked and busy for a collection of Marvel’s upcoming blockbusters that will star him as New Mister Fantastic, that’s the safest option for Bella Ramsey in case they do want to have a reunion with a former co-star.
However, Ramsey might be a bit too late for the role they eyed in the MCU.
“I could be Spider-Man. Tom Holland did a great job though. So maybe they do need to make a new [superhero] for me”, the actor revealed in an interview with Variety at the HBO Emmys nominees event in Hollywood last Sunday.
They also added that they hadn’t really been into Marvel movies, but watched a couple since Pascal was announced as Mister Fantastic, with the first ones becoming Spider-Man movies starring Andrew Garfield.
“It was the first time I watched a Marvel film, and that was two months, three months ago. Incredible. I loved it”, Ramsey said.

Since Marvel’s superhero teams seems to be packed at the moment, Ramsey also has a different idea for a movie they could do with Pascal — and in some way it still matches the dynamic between their Ellie and Joel.
“I think maybe like a heist movie where we’re robbing a bank together”, Ramsey said, adding that these thoughts of starring in another projects together are caused by people constantly asking her if Pascal is as nice as he seems in real life.
As for The Last of Us’ season 3, nothing is clear about the actor’s possible cameo role in flashback scenes (or rather episodes), but the show’s creator Craig Mazin has already teased several dead characters’ comeback in the next instalment.
The third season is now expected to hit HBO Max sometime in 2027.
