Who's the absolute best Salamanca?

One of the most intriguing and fearsome families both in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are the Salamancas. These characters, with their complex personalities and chilling actions, have played a huge role on the show. Let’s have a moment to remember those cold-blooded relatives.

6. Abuelita

Now, don't get us wrong, Abuelita is a sweet old lady, but when it comes to being a Salamanca, she doesn't quite cut it. She doesn't do anything particularly exciting or terrifying throughout the show, and she only appears in a couple of episodes. Sorry, Abuelita, but you're at the bottom of our list.

5. Joaquin Salamanca

If you're scratching your head trying to remember who Joaquin is, don't worry, you're not alone. He's a side character who appears briefly in Breaking Bad season four, episode titled “Salud”, and his claim to fame is getting shot by Jesse Pinkman.

Unfortunately, Joaquin doesn't leave much of an impact on the story.

4. The Cousins

Moving on, we have Leonel and Marco Salamanca. Leonel is a bit more memorable, mainly because of his dramatic death in a shootout with Hank Schrader in Breaking Bad season three. He puts up a good fight, but ultimately, he's no match for Hank.

3. Hector Salamanca

Hector is a complex character who does some pretty terrible things throughout the series. He's also a bit of a nuisance at times, but his character is well-developed and interesting, which earns him the number three spot on our list.

2. Tuco Salamanca

Coming in at number two is Tuco Salamanca. Tuco is arguably the most terrifying member of the Salamanca family. He's unpredictable and dangerous, but he also has a softer side.

Tuco is a master chef who can whip up a mean burrito, and if there was a cooking competition among the Salamancas, we're confident that Tuco would come out on top, if it wasn’t for the number one on this list.

1. Lalo Salamanca

Finally, our number one spot goes to Lalo Salamanca. Lalo is a charismatic character who knows what he is doing. He is not crazy like Tuco, he is smart and prudent (most of the time).

He appeared exclusively in Better Call Saul and quickly became one of the best TV antagonists of all time.

Do you agree Lalo deserves the top spot?
