Better Than Cake: This Lazy Canned Peach & Sour Cream Tart is a May Sensation
One more way to bring the summertime a little bit closer.
Warm spring days often prompt us to spend most of the day outside, so no wonder quite few want to stay at home and bake something sweet and delicious instead. However, you can still prepare the most refreshing peach and cream tart without putting much effort into it — this sweet treat will become the best addition to your calm evening spent on a terrace or in the backyard.
Ingredients:
For the dough: 70 g of sour cream, 160 g of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 100 g of butter.
For the filling: a can of peaches, 200 g of sour cream, 100 g of powdered sugar, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of flour.
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Sift the flour together with the baking powder. In a bowl, combine the butter, the flour mixture, and the sour cream. Mix until smooth.
Pour the batter into a nonstick baking pan and form the sides. Arrange the peaches cut-side up, draining the juice beforehand.
Prepare the cream: whip the sour cream with powdered sugar, then add the sour cream and flour. Whip the cream until smooth. Pour it over the pie. Bake for 30–40 minutes until lightly golden.
Remove the pie from the oven, let it cool, and only then remove it from the pan. Slice and serve in portions.
