Better Than in Starbucks: Easy Cheesy Bacon Egg Bites You Can Make at Home

Sometimes it just seems much easier to stop by a bakery or coffee shop near your office instead of cooking something at home, though you might also be surprised by how easy it is to make those dishes yourself.

The list also includes famous egg bites from Starbucks which are super fluffy and extremely delicious, but are also quite costly. To make things better for your wallet, here’s the similar recipe you can use for your everyday breakfast.

Ingredients (12 portions): 6 whole eggs, 1 cup of cream cheese, 1 cup of grated Gruyère cheese, 1 teaspoon of hot sauce (optional), salt and pepper to your liking, 4 strips of bacon.

Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). For a delicate texture, use a water bath technique: place a shallow dish with boiling water on the bottom rack of the oven.

In a blender, combine the eggs, cream cheese, Gruyère cheese, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Blend on high speed for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Generously grease a muffin tin. Using a silicone pan will make it easier to remove the eggs. Fill each cup ¾ full with the mixture.

Prepare the bacon: fry until crispy (you can do this in a frying pan, microwave, or even in the oven). Once cooked, cut it into small pieces. Sprinkle the chopped bacon evenly over each cup of eggs.

Place the baking sheet on the oven rack above a shallow dish of water. The steam from the water will help keep the eggs soft and fluffy.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the eggs are firm, slightly puffed, and golden brown on top. You can check if they're done by gently shaking the pan to see if the eggs move in the center.

After baking, take the eggs out of the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Carefully loosen the edges with a knife before removing them from the pan. If you used a silicone pan, the eggs should come out easily.
