'Better Than Pulp Fiction': James Gunn Picks His Favorite Tarantino Movie — and It's Surprising

The director has an unusual favorite.
Quentin Tarantino has made many feature films that have received wide acclaim, and fans have their favorites from his career. The director of the new Superman, James Gunn, a long-time fan of his colleague, recently shared his own opinion on this matter.
His choice may seem surprising, given that most fans most often name Pulp Fiction as Tarantino’s favorite film. But Gunn chose a different one.
Which Tarantino film does James Gunn like
In a new video interview for Konbini, Gunn talked about Tarantino’s films. Although the director noted that he really likes Pulp Fiction, he preferred Jackie Brown, considering this film “perfect”. He also admitted that he loves this film so much that he still watches it regularly.
“For me, this is Tarantino’s best work. I watch the film at least once a year and I really love this film. "While Pulp Fiction has its great moments, it also has some weirder parts. Jackie Brown is just perfect. From start to finish," Gunn said.
Jackie Brown Movie Details
Jackie Brown is based on the Elmore Leonard novel Rum Punch. Pam Grier plays a flight attendant who smuggles money between the United States and Mexico. It was Tarantino's third feature-length directorial effort, following Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction.
The film doesn't always top fan lists of the director's best works, but it is still highly regarded. It has received especially much recognition in recent years. The film has an 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
