The director of the show stirred up speculations with her recent statement on Instagram.

In the grand finale of The Blacklist, they're going to drop some hints about who Raymond Reddington really is.

Ever since this show started back in 2013, everyone's been dying to know the truth about Reddington and why he's so obsessed with Elizabeth Keen.

Things got even more intense when they revealed those infamous bones were the real deal. After a whole decade and ten seasons, they still haven't flat out spilled on Reddington's true identity.

In the Instagram post, related to the final day of filming of the 10th season, someone asked director Christine Gee if they were finally going to reveal Reddington's true identity by the end of the show.

She said they might have already given us some answers along the way, but that doesn't mean they won't drop more hints before it all wraps up.

After all these seasons of wondering who Reddington really is, we might finally get some solid information. So, there will be some surprises and clues waiting for us in the final episodes. Isn't that exciting?

However, some viewers think that Reddington's true persona isn't that important any more. One character who was all about finding out the story behind Raymond Reddington was Elizabeth Keen.

She had this burning desire to know why he was so caring for her and if he was her biological dad.

However, Elizabeth died in the season 8 finale of The Blacklist. Yeah, it was a bummer, and it kind of took away some of the emotional oomph behind the whole identity-reveal thing.

Well, there are still some characters alive in the show who could find out the truth, but it just won't hit the same without Elizabeth.

As Gee said, it is possible to figure out the truth if you've been paying enough attention, and of course it provoked speculations.

One of the leading theories is that Reddington is actually Elizabeth's mom, Katarina Rostova, who used to be a spy for the KGB.

During Elizabeth's final moments, they showed a montage of scenes with Reddington and Katarina, making the theory even more legit. It's like Elizabeth had the epiphany right before she died, even though nobody straight-up said it.

If the theory will be somehow confirmed in the upcoming finale, that is going to be one crazy twist. The tenth and final season of Blacklist will conclude on July 13 with two episodes.
