Another iconic dessert that will go perfectly well with one of Desperate Housewives’ episodes.

Many famous TV shows have introduced some of the best recipes out there, but when it comes to cakes, nothing is close enough to Desperate Housewives. Thanks to Bree Van de Kamp, the world has now learnt to make the best lemon pie and pineapple tarte tatin that at some point made Carlos realize that Gabrielle was still talking to her ex-friend.

Even though the pie’s recipe belongs to the character with the ultimate cooking skill, it’s actually pretty easy to make at home, so save it for a delicious evening accompanied by your favorite show.

Ingredients:

For the caramel: 150 g of brown sugar, 50 g of butter, 7 canned pineapple slices, 7 cocktail cherries.

For the dough: 150 g of butter, 120 g of sugar, 3 eggs, 5 g of baking powder, 150 g of flour.

For the caramel: Combine the butter and brown sugar, then melt over medium heat. Pour the caramel into a baking dish. Arrange the pineapple rings on the bottom of the pan, pressing them in slightly, and place a cocktail cherry in each ring.

Prepare the dough: mix the sugar with softened butter. Add the eggs one at a time, then the baking powder and flour, and mix well. Spread the dough over the pineapple and smooth it out.

Place the pan in an oven preheated to 180°C for 45 minutes. Check with a toothpick, then flip the finished tart onto a plate. Wait for the tart to cool, then serve.
