Following the success of the first three seasons and the highly anticipated fourth, the show will continue to chronicle the lives of the Bridgerton family. But what will the new seasons be about? Let's figure it out.
Previous Seasons & Their Leads
Season 1 follows the love story of Daphne Bridgerton and the Duke of Hastings. Season 2 focuses on Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma. Season 3 tells about Penelope Featherington's crush on Colin Bridgerton.
It has already been confirmed that Season 4 will focus on Benedict. He is the second oldest son, and his romance was skipped in Season 3 to focus on Colin and Penelope, so his story has been waiting a long time.
Season 3 also hinted at the upcoming masquerade, which marked the beginning of Benedict's romantic journey in the books.
Season 5 Will Most Probably Focus on Francesca
The identity of the next main character remains a mystery. The show has hinted that it could be either Eloise or Francesca.
At the end of Bridgerton Season 3, Francesca quietly marries John Stirling and prepares to move to Scotland with him. However, in the books, Francesca's marriage to John leads her into a romantic relationship with Michael Stirling. In the show, Michael Stirling is gender-swapped and becomes Michaela Stirling.
Eloise's Story Will Come in Season 6, As She Needs Time Before Delving Into a Romantic Relationship
Meanwhile, Eloise has volunteered to accompany Francesca on her new journey. Eloise seems like a logical choice for Season 6 since Hyacinth and Gregory will be too young.
Eloise and Francesca could potentially switch places in this timeline, though it seems doubtful. Up until now, Eloise has shown an almost complete lack of interest in romantic relationships. Perhaps her journey with Francesca will change her attitude.
