With new cast announcements and a hopeful release in 2024, let's look at what we know about Bridgerton season 3.

It's been almost ten months since the filming of Bridgerton 's Season 3 was completed, and we're still waiting for the news of its release, hopefully during the holidays as it was with the show's first season. Unfortunately, since there is no official date announced yet, it seems more likely that we will have to wait until 2024 to witness the return of Bridgerton on our screens.

Fans should get ready for a drama filled rollercoaster as Season 3 takes us on a gripping journey through the bumpy love story of Miss Penelope Featherington and Mr. Colin Bridgerton. This season will delve into the highs and lows of their relationship, which has been brewing for years. Drawing inspiration from Julia Quinn's Romancing Mister Bridgerton, the fourth instalment in the book series, the upcoming season will put a unique spin on the original plot, surprising fans with unexpected twists and turns.

Bridgerton's upcoming season will bring about some significant changes in its ensemble cast, with a mix of familiar and new faces. While a few beloved characters will bid farewell, the majority of the Bridgerton siblings will be making a triumphant return for Season 3. Fans can look forward to reuniting with their favourite characters and witnessing the captivating dynamics within the Bridgerton family once again.

As of November 2023 the cast has been confirmed as:

Claudia Jessie as Eloise
Luke Thompson as Benedict
Luke Newton as Colin
Jonathan Bailey as 9th Viscount Anthony Bridgerton
Simone Ashley as the Viscountess Kate Bridgerton (née Sharma)
Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Featherington (a.k.a Lady Whistledown)
Polly Walker as Lady Portia Featherington
Bessie Carter as Prudence Featherington
Harriet Cains as Phillipa Featherington
Adjoa Andoh as Lady Danbury
Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte
Ruth Gemmell as Violet Bridgerton

Unfortunately, Daphne, the Duchess of Hastings, will not be making a comeback in Season 3, much to the disappointment of longtime fans. Phoebe Dynevor, who portrayed the leading lady in Season 1, broke the news in January when asked about Daphne's role in the upcoming season.

While we remain hopeful for a possible cameo in future seasons, Daphne's absence will provide an opportunity for other characters to take the spotlight.

Fresh additions to the cast:

Hannah Dodd, a new addition to the series known for her role in Enola Holmes 2, will be stepping into the shoes of Francesca Bridgerton, previously played by Ruby Stokes.

Three other actors were welcomed on board in July 2022, most likely playing some of Penelope's potential suitors. Daniel Francis, known for his role on Once Upon a Time, will bring Marcus Anderson to life, while The Crown 's Sam Phillips will grace the screen as Lord Debling. Joining them is James Phoon, who will portray the character of Harry Dankworth.

Then, in October 2022, it was revealed that the talented Hannah New, known for her performance in Maleficent, has been chosen to play the role of Lady Tilley Arnold. Lady Tilley is described as a wealthy widow who cherishes her independence and freedom.

With so much exciting news for the upcoming series, we hope Netflix announces the show's return in early 2024 rather than later. But no matter when the Bridgertons and Featheringtons return to our screens, we know they will bring the gossip, the scandal and the drama.
