Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley Stars in a Perfect Rom-Com Coming on Prime This Week

The new romantic comedy coming to Prime this week promises to be an amazing addition to the genre, combining all of its best qualities. And it does star one of the most beloved Bridgerton actors!
When the cast for Bridgerton season 2 was introduced, fans couldn’t be happier to see Anthony’s future love interest. Simone Ashley was absolutely stunning as Kate Sharma, the conflicted older sister so eager to protect her younger soulmate that she would give up her own happiness.
So when the writers finally took pity on us and did a happy ending for them, of course we were on cloud nine, but the feeling that the perfect story was fading away was also there. The news that March 6 is the day Simone Ashley’s newest rom-com is coming to Prime finally cheered up the minds of her devoted fans.
The new movie she will star in as the leading female character Pia is called Picture This. Directed by Prarthana Mohan, the movie will star Hero Fiennes Tiffin as the male lead named Charlie. And according to the trailer (which everybody is obsessing about since the moment it landed on YouTube), it’s going to be a new gem in the romantic comedy genre.
“Ohh this trailer has surpassed my expectations…I have already binge watched 10 times.. this is going to be a super duper hit.. It's such a refreshing trailer.. Simone is looking gorgeous.. looking forward to getting lost in this world,” Redditor CharacterPair5151 said.
What Picture This Is About?
The movie focuses on Pia, a struggling photographer who receives an unlikely prediction from a guru before her sister's wedding. The guru said that she was about to meet her true love! It seems like it's right around the corner, and in just 5 dates, she'll finally meet him.
However, with her family trying to be the perfect matchmakers and her ex-partner reappearing in his life, it feels like a lot is going on with her, but nothing to suggest that true love is anywhere near... Well, maybe there's a bigger plan?
The fans feel super excited about the leading cast choices for many reasons.
“Honestly, there's few to none dark-skinned woman representation in romcoms, so kudos to Simone for taking this genre. People love to underestimate the romance genre because it's not 'critically acclaimed', 'big-budget', type of media but I tell you this is the type of light-hearted movie the GP will always eat up,” Redditor abcd_fghijkl_nopqrst said.
Picture This will premiere on Prime Video on March 6.
