I’ve got to say, Nicolas Cage never fails to surprise, and his latest project might be his wildest yet. In The Carpenter’s Son, Cage stars as the father of Jesus in a horror thriller that turns the familiar story on its head.
The recently released trailer gives a glimpse of the film’s dark, unsettling tone, with a family in Roman Egypt facing both natural and supernatural horrors as the boy discovers his own powers.
The film also made headlines during production when Cage was reportedly swarmed by bees on set in Greece — yes, really — and shooting had to be moved.
