Carrie Coon Teases ‘The Gilded Age’ Potential Season 4: “Response Has Been Tremendous”

The actress has just secured an Emmy nod for The White Lotus’ season 3, and it’s not only The Gilded Age’s another instalment that Coon really wants to return in.
The Gilded Age fans will have to wait until next year when the third season might get some recognition at the Emmys, but there will likely be one more reason to mark their calendars.
Starring The White Lotus and The Leftovers’ actress Carrie Coon, the show has got a third season just recently, currently set to return with episode 5 on July 20.
With The Gilded Age set to continue with four more episodes until August 10, it’s not clear whether the ongoing season will end on an issue for the next instalment to resolve.
Carrie Coon’s recent revelations, however, may shed some light on that!
Carrie Coon Has “No Say” About ‘The Gilded Age’ Future, but Hopes for Season 4
Even though things might already be stirring up for The Gilded Age if another season is in fact on its way, it seems like Carrie Coon hasn’t yet been involved in all the discussions about a potential continuation.
“I have no say in the future of [The Gilded Age] — I’ll have to redirect you to the head of HBO. The response so far has been tremendous, which gives us hope for the possibility of another season”, the actress revealed in an interview with Deadline upon receiving her third Emmy nomination for The White Lotus’ season 3.

Carrie Coon Would Love to Be Back to ‘The White Lotus’ — It’s Unlikely Though
While celebrating her nominee status after the Emmys’ official announcement, the actress couldn’t hide her enthusiasm about The White Lotus’ future season 4, saying that she would definitely return to the story if one condition is kept.
“I would certainly be open to it. I would prefer to work in the snow. It was the hottest I’ve ever been in my life, and it’s only getting hotter”, Coon said, referring to Thai humid weather the entire cast had to deal with during the six-months filming.
Even though The White Lotus’ creator Mike White will likely have a major location change in the show’s fourth season, it’s still not certain that Coon would be reprising her role.
Traditionally, The White Lotus follows the anthology series formula, intruding a new set of characters in every season. However, some characters like Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya or Natasha Rothwell’s Belinda were featured across several instalments.
