'Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc' Set for Japan and Global Release in 2025

Kenshi Yonezu returns with new theme.
The official trailer for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc has been unveiled, offering fans a first look at the eagerly awaited cinematic continuation of the anime series. Produced by MAPPA and directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, the film adapts the explosive “Bomb Girl” arc from Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga, picking up where season one concluded.
The trailer hints at a dramatic tonal shift, combining intense action with emotional depth as Denji meets Reze, a mysterious café worker whose arrival turns his world upside down. It also reveals a new theme song, “IRIS OUT,” produced and performed by Kenshi Yonezu, marking his second contribution to the franchise after the acclaimed opening theme “KICK BACK” for the TV anime.
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is scheduled to premiere in Japanese cinemas on 19 September. Sony Pictures Entertainment has secured the global theatrical rights, with the film set for release in the U.S. and U.K. on 29 October 2025.
