From the mastermind chemist Walter White to the ruthless drug lord Gustavo Fring, the Breaking Bad Universe has introduced us to a wide range of characters with varying moral compasses.
One aspect that often defines these characters is the number of lives they have taken throughout the series. We are about to rank some of the key characters according to their kill count.
5. Jesse Pinkman — 5
Starting off our list is Jesse Pinkman, portrayed by Aaron Paul. Despite being involved in the drug trade and facing numerous dangerous situations, Jesse has a relatively low kill count of 5.
His victims include Gale Boetticher, Todd Alquist, Joaquin Salamanca in Breaking Bad, plus Neil Kandy and Casey in El Camino.
4. Walter White — 14
Next up is Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston, the mastermind behind the show's events. If we were taking into account indirect deaths caused by his actions, he would absolutely dominate this list given the fact that about 170 people died in a plane crash because of him.
Walter is directly responsible for 14 deaths. His victims include Emilio Koyama, Krazy-8, Rival Dealers, Two of Gus' henchmen, Mike Ehrmantraut, Lester, Frankie, Matt, Kenny, and two unnamed gang members.
3. Gustavo Fring — 15
Moving up the list, we have Gustavo Fring, portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito. With a kill count of 15, Gustavo is not one to be taken lightly.
His victims include Victor, Arturo Colon, Lalo Salamanca and Don Eladio alongside other Cartel members. Gustavo's position as a major player in the drug trade comes with a price, as he eliminates anyone who poses a threat to his empire.
2. Lalo Salamanca — 16
Lalo Salamanca, played by Tony Dalton, is a formidable and charismatic antagonist in Better Call Saul, known for his unpredictable nature and ruthless tactics.
Lalo has a kill count of 16, including Fred Whalen, Gus' five hitmen, Sylvia Ramos, Mateo Ramos, The Two Coyotes, Casper, Howard Hamlin, plus Gus' four men more.
1. Mike Ehrmantraut — 18
Finally, we have Mike Ehrmantraut, portrayed by Jonathan Banks. Despite his calculated methods, Mike has a kill count of 18, making him one of the deadliest characters in the Breaking Bad universe.
His victims include cartel assassins, henchmen, law enforcement officers, Werner Ziegler, Officer Troy Hoffman, Sergeant Jack Fensky, and some others.
