As Chicago Fire re-uses its now most frustrating storyline for the hundredth time, we were surprised to find some fans genuinely caring about it — as if anything changes.

Summary:

  • Chicago Fire Season 12 repeats one of its most overused storylines: someone is out to get Firehouse 51 again.
  • Some fans genuinely hate Paramedic Chief Robinson and are scared of the damage she might deal to Boden’s crew.
  • The majority of viewers already knows exactly how this arc is going to end, though — with Robinson going down just like the previous small-time villains.

Chicago Fire has been growing tired for the past few seasons, especially when it comes to storylines. Fans have been turning progressively more frustrated with the repetitions and lack of original arc, but this trend reached its peak with the latest Season 12 story. Believe it or not, someone’s out to get Firehouse 51 — again!

And believe it or not, there are still folks genuinely worried whether Chief Boden will be able to protect his people. After like four or five previous times, that is.

Firehouse 51 Is Under Attack… Again

Gail McLeod, Jerry Gorsch, Emma Jacobs, Carl Grissom… This is not the list of everyone’s all-time favorite Chicago Fire characters, though it totally looks like one. This is the list of people who, at one point or another, tried to bring Firehouse 51 down. All of them failed miserably and, save for Grissom, suffered the consequences.

It’s safe to say the Chief Boden and his crew know how to care for themselves and have already proven it multiple times. But hey, what if all the others were just losers? Admittedly, that’s exactly Paramedic Chief Robinson’s train of thoughts — because this time around, it’s she and her little pet Lennox who are out to get 51.

Not like repeating the same storyline for the fourth time is popular with fans.

Some Chicago Fire Fans Are Worried for 51

The vast majority of fans are frustrated by the repeating storyline. Sure, Firehouse 51 is under attack again, who would have guessed? The finale of this arc is just as predictable as it was at least the third time around, surely — and many viewers rightfully blame Chicago Fire for such incredibly lazy and uncreative writing.

But surprisingly, some fans are genuinely worried for Boden and his crew!

“I just wanted to reach through the screen and smack that smug look off Robinson’s face,” “I hope the new Medic Chief shows up to a collapsing building and gets too close,” and a few other cute reactions coming from viewers suggest they’re not quite happy with Paramedic Chief Robinson — and still see her as a threat despite it all.

But don’t worry, people: she will go down trying to sink Firehouse 51 just like all the others, and we’ll see another few folks try to do the same and follow the same fate.
