Chris Pratt Is Out as Batman, But Gunn Has a Secret DC Role for Him

I wonder what role Chris Pratt will take in DCU next.
James Gunn has yet to lock in his DCU Batman — the one who’ll take center stage in The Brave and the Bold, not Robert Pattinson’s brooding version. For months, the internet’s been buzzing with names: Alan Ritchson, Jensen Ackles, even Keanu Reeves (and, hilariously, George Clooney). But Gunn just crushed one big rumor, and honestly, I’m relieved.
Chris Pratt is not going to be Batman. Yep, that theory can die now. The twist? He’s absolutely joining the DCU at some point. Gunn himself said it during an interview with Mexican creator Escorpion Dorado while promoting Peacemaker:
"As Batman? No. As something else? Yes. Chris Pratt is one of my best friends. I want him at DC."
I love that he’s being upfront without giving too much away. Personally, I can’t picture Pratt as the Dark Knight — that just never sat right with me. But him showing up as another DC character? That I’m curious about.
Gunn clearly has a plan, and knowing their history from Guardians of the Galaxy, this is going to be interesting.
Who do you think Pratt could play? Booster Gold? Green Lantern? I have my bets, but one thing’s clear: Batman is safe from Star-Lord energy.
