Disney's showcase at CinemaCon 2022 was one of the most anticipated events of the week – not least because the insiders promised a long-awaited presentation of the 'Avatar 2' footage, which James Cameron's fans have been waiting for more than ten years.

The insiders didn't let us down, and the information indeed turned out to be true: indeed, to the absolute delight of the lucky ones, who had managed to get to the Disney presentation at CinemaCon, James Cameron personally introduced the new footage via pre-recorded video (the director himself is still in New Zealand, working on the film).

To fully appreciated the footage, viewers were given 3D glasses, and this indeed paid off: the visuals were absolutely stunning, and even though there was almost no dialogue in the minutes-long trailer, the visual sequences alone was enough to immerse into breathtakingly beautiful world of Pandora. Na'vi were shown interacting with some new, never-before-seen Pandora species, somehow resembling those on Earth – for instance, pelicans and whale-like creatures. Sam Worthington's Jake Sully was shown telling Zoe Saldana's Neytiri about their family being "our fortress".

To those of you who didn't get an opportunity to actually visit Vegas this week, here's some good – no, scratch that – great news: the footage shown at CinemaCon will become public in the next couple of weeks, being tied to 'Multiverse of Madness' theatrical release on May 6.
