Clashing with Another Universe: 'The Avengers' Cast, Rumors, and Plot Leaks

Since James Gunn’s Superman is setting a new tone, Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday is aiming even bigger. The multiverse cracks wide open as the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Wakandans unite against Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom.
Directed by the Russo Brothers, the film started shooting in spring 2025. Confirmed cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd, and the classic Fox X-Men crew.
Rumours hint at Earth-616 clashing with another universe, Wanda’s redemption arc, and massive stakes ahead of Secret Wars. No trailer yet, but first footage expected late 2025. Release date? 18 December 2026.
