The second season is just past the halfway point, and it's the perfect time to jump in.

On January 4th, Crunchyroll launched the second season of one of the most anticipated anime of the winter, Solo Leveling. The story of a man who was given the ability to improve his fighting skills successfully started in 2024 and is now back with a new dose of action.

Solo Leveling was a sensation in the web novel format. And the adaptation took the popularity of the story to new heights – in 2024, Solo Leveling became the most watched new anime on Crunchyroll.

If you're not familiar with Jinwoo's story, now's the time to get started, and here's why.

What Is Solo Leveling About?

Ten years ago, mysterious gates suddenly began to open on Earth, releasing a variety of monsters immune to any weapon. At the same time, supernatural powers began to awaken in some people, capable of helping in the fight against the invasion.

The chosen ones were called Hunters and divided into six groups: S-rank is given to the strongest warriors and E-rank is given to the weakest.

Jinwoo is the weakest hunter of all. He wanders into a strange dungeon and seems to get into a video game. The System assigns tasks, and Jinwoo completes them and suddenly begins to level up, which was considered impossible.

Solo Leveling Throws Viewers Into Wild Action From the Very Beginning

The first season, consisting of twelve episodes, is a fascinating and dynamic introduction to how this fictional world works. Almost every episode ends with a cliffhanger, so it won't be difficult to binge the season in its entirety, especially since the visuals turned out to be very impressive.

It is noticeable that the studio spared neither effort nor money in the production, and the creators of the anime approached the transfer of the original source to the screen responsibly.

The scriptwriters immediately throw the viewer into the middle of the events, introduce the main characters and leave fascinating hints for the future.

Solo Leveling Season 2 Is Just as Good as the First Season

The second season will have 13 episodes – eight of them have been released so far.

Jinwoo goes into a medium difficulty dungeon as an observer with another group to convince his sister's E-rank classmate that being a Hunter is hard, but the gates suddenly turn red, making the raid much more difficult and not all of them will be able to return.

In just 40 minutes of running time, viewers get a good portion of action, and the music by Hiroyuki Sawano, who wrote the soundtrack for Attack on Titan, will give you goosebumps.

Solo Leveling Season 2 Release Schedule & Streaming Platform
