During a recent Today interview, the British actor kept things vague when asked about talks with Marvel Studios. "Yes and no," he said with a grin. When pressed, he teased, "It could mean no." But on whether he’d accept a role? A firm "yes."
Still healing after the 2020 loss of Chadwick Boseman, the franchise is clearly evolving. Boseman’s iconic T’Challa passed the mantle to Letitia Wright’s Shuri in Wakanda Forever, but with Ryan Coogler now developing a third instalment, the cast seems set to expand — and surprise.
Notably, Denzel Washington has been confirmed for a role. While promoting Gladiator II in Australia last year, he revealed Coogler was "writing a part" for him — a statement since backed by the director.
