Episode 8 opens with Karen Page's trial. Matt Murdock is late because Jessica Jones is tending to his wounds after he was attacked by the Kingpin's men. Heather Glenn falsely testifies against Karen.

When Murdock finally arrives, he calls Wilson Fisk himself as a witness. Meanwhile, snipers plot to assassinate the lawyer, but Bullseye eliminates them and takes their place.

Attack on Kingpin

Murdock tries to convince the court that Fisk has no evidence proving Daredevil's guilt in the ship explosion – he presents the first mate's testimony. Judge Waters halts the proceedings.

Murdock overhears Fisk threaten to destroy him through the law, the judge then accepts the evidence. The second mate says that they were ordered to sink the ship carrying illegal weapons and that the order was given personally by the Kingpin.

Murdock confesses that he is Daredevil, that he was on the ship, and that he is willing to testify. The judge dismisses Karen's case.

The Collapse of Mayor Wilson Fisk

The governor declares that Fisk has been charged with criminal activity, his assets have been frozen, and control of the port has been transferred to the state.

An assassination attempt on a government official is added to the list of charges. McCaffrey demands Fisk's resignation, but he refuses.

Bloody Massacre in Court

Before leaving the building, Murdock and Fisk come to blows. Powell orders a sniper to shoot Murdock, but it is Bullseye who has the rifle. Buck covers his boss and is seriously wounded while Fisk's men cordon off the building.

The Kingpin appears on TV, urging his supporters to wage a civil war. He orders that Murdock and Karen not be released alive. A conflict erupts at the entrance, and protesters force their way inside.

Fisk rejects the prosecutor's plea bargain, which includes resigning, leaving the country, and renouncing his citizenship. One of the most brutal scenes unfolds as the Kingpin personally massacres the protesters. Daredevil and Jessica fight his men – they are joined by Angela del Toro, the new White Tiger.

The enraged crowd reaches the Kingpin, but Murdock and Jones stop the massacre, Fisk then agrees to the deal. Some time later, Matt and Karen try to settle down, but the police arrest Daredevil.

Meanwhile, Fisk is on the coast, Luke Cage returns to Jessica, and Heather Glenn tries on the Muse mask – her mental state has reached a critical point.

The third season will reveal the troubles awaiting Matt behind bars. Now that his identity is public knowledge, the inmates imprisoned because of him will seek revenge, and Fisk's men may continue the war there.

Luke Cage's appearance opens up the possibility of a plotline from the comics where he ran for mayor. Iron Fist could temporarily replace Daredevil, and the Hand clan could emerge on the streets of New York. Lady Bullseye could become one of the villains.

Heather Glenn could become the new Muse. Her mental health issues, triggered by an encounter with a serial killer, could cause her to become one herself. She may start hunting down vigilantes, the only question is how she'll manage to hone all the necessary skills so quickly.
