After the most recent revelation regarding Ezra Miller’s future, DC fans demand two things finally served: justice for Henry Cavill and some heads on a silver platter.

The Flash is soon to be released, and while many industry superstars are actively promoting it, a large chunk of the audience wants to boycott the movie due to the multiple controversies with its lead actor, Ezra Miller, who’s been accused of several cases of unprovoked attacks and questionable behavior around young children.

Considering the context, you would’ve expected The Flash’s director Andy Muschietti to do everything in his power to keep his and Miller’s heads as low as possible about those accusations.

Instead, Muschietti did the exact opposite: he publicly stated that he will not be recasting Flash because no one could rival Miller’s performance.

“I don’t think there’s anyone that can play that character as well as they did. The other depictions of the character are great, but this particular vision of the character, they just excelled in doing it. And, as you said, the two Barrys — it feels like a character that was made for them,” claimed the director on The Discourse podcast.

And let’s just say, he really should’ve just kept quiet there: now, he’s got the DC fans, the Cavill fans, and half of the Internet movie community after his head.

People are fuming at the news of Ezra Miller reprising their role while largely beloved actors like Henry Cavill lost their roles with a snap of a finger.

“If Ezra Miller does end up staying as The Flash then it’ll be really sad that WB decided to get rid of an innocent man in Henry Cavill who was passionate about the character he played, yet they want to keep a man who’s committed a lot of horrible crimes,” says Twitter user Bart2389.

While they’re is pretty chill about the matter, most fans are not: they’re mad-mad at DC.

“Henry Cavill is out as Superman but this POS gets a free pass after kidnapping someone and terrorizing Hawaii?! MCU is considering cutting Jonathan Majors over ALLEGATIONS but Ezra Miller is still being pushed as the Flash?! F*ck DC. Even James Gunn can’t save this dumpster fire,” wrote Raul Gonzalez on Twitter.

The fuming of the audience is more than understandable: far less controversial actors have been losing their jobs left and right in the past years, and Ezra Miller, whose name is something of a curse lately, gets to keep the role and continue shooting? There’s no way people are letting that slide, chief.

And Henry Cavill’s fans are not the type of people you want to mess with right now. They already were on the path of war because of The Witcher, and reminding them about Superman was a mistake on Andy Muschietti’s part.

Pissing so many folks off right before your already-controversial movie release is a weird tactic for sure.
