Deadpool 3 Might See The Merc with a Mouth Become a Swiftie, Rumor Has It
What if we told you that, on top of every other confirmed and unconfirmed cameo in Deadpool 3, the world’s highest-earning singer Taylor Swift will join in, too?
With Deadpool arguably being Marvel’s most unique and fun franchise, it comes as no surprise that millions of fans all over the world are eagerly waiting for the final part of the trilogy to be released. With his sharp tongue, poor manners, and zero regard for his enemies’ lives, the Merc with a Mouth has captivated his audience, including us.
Ryan Reynolds has been doing a phenomenal job of portraying the only truly self-aware Marvel character, and judging from all the news we’re getting, he aims to make Deadpool 3, the finale, truly special. With multiple long-anticipated cameos, surprising guest stars, and unexpected plot twists, Reynolds is on a killing spree.
It has already been confirmed that none other than Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine in Deadpool 3, and this news had the fans lost in excitement. But if you remember how the previous installment featured a whole Brad Pitt there (granted that it was just for two seconds), you know Reynolds can’t stop there now.
The latest rumors suggest that Taylor Swift of all people will join the cast of Deadpool 3. The world’s highest-earning and most popular singer will supposedly be featured as Dazzler, the mutant that can turn sound into light and energy. If that wouldn’t be the perfect feat for Taylor Swift, we have no idea what else you would suggest!
The rumor has not been confirmed yet, and many fans have some reservations. First and foremost, they are based on the fact that Swift is an extremely busy person: the singer’s currently on her record-breaking world tour Eras which is bound to take until late into 2024, and she also revealed her massive plans for new albums. No time.
However, there’s a silver lining here, too, as there are two huge arguments in favor of Swift joining the cast. First of all, she’s a known workaholic, so the Eras Tour can’t scare her off the movie; second of all — and most importantly — Taylor Swift is a close friend of Ryan Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, so she’s unlikely to refuse.
If Ryan Reynolds were to extend an invitation to her in the first place, of course.
