As many fans speculated upon the first part of the instalment’s release, the actress might have gone through some kind of surgery, with her face now looking much thinner while eyes and lips got visibly bigger.
The reaction to Zeta-Jones’ possible transformation was different — some slammed the actress for now looking too otherworldly even for Wednesday’s storyline while others thought she looked similar to Anjelica Huston, who is arguably the most iconic Morticia actress in the Addams Family’s cinematic history.

Though Hollywood has long been associated with plastic surgeries that would be blamed every time an actor looked slightly different from some time ago, Wednesday’s viewers are aware of the movie and TV industry going far enough to make the physical change visible with other tools.

I think honestly a lot of people are really not aware of how SIGNIFICANT a difference makeup makes in how someone looks, particularly on film. Her face structure still looks the same, but the makeup is starkly different”, Redditor Bella_Climbs revealed in a thread, commenting on the viral matter.
