Don’t Panic, Mark Ruffalo Still Has a Trick Up His Sleeve in ‘Now You See Me 3’
Marvel’s actor is nowhere to be found in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t’s trailer, but don’t let it fool you so much in advance.
There’ll be some mysterious tricks occurring in cinemas worldwide this November now that another sequel to 2013’s hit heist movie Now You See Me is just days away from premiering.
Titled Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, the new instalment in the Now You See Me franchise will see the original movie’s leading cast returning to commit yet another mind-blowing crime and steal the world’s largest queen diamond from a powerful crime family.
Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco and Isla Fisher were confirmed to reprise their roles, which was later demonstrated in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t’s trailer released several months ago.
However, there was no mention of Mark Ruffalo’s FBI agent Dylan Rhodes who spent two previous movies trying to capture the Four Horsemen — the franchise’s fans shouldn’t be worried about it though.
Is Mark Ruffalo in ‘Now You See Me: Now You Don’t’?
Though the actor hasn’t appeared in the future movie’s trailer, Ruffalo has been confirmed by several sources to reprise his role in the third instalment, with the film’s creators trying to keep such a plot twist as a surprise.
The decision to keep details about the actor’s updated role under wraps might be connected to Dylan Rhodes’ major plot twist at the end of the first movie, when it was revealed that, while trying to capture the four magicians, he was involved in a magician-related organization himself.
Given that, it’s possible that Mark Ruffalo’s character will become the Four Horsemen’s main rival in the group’s attempt to carry out the most daring heist in their lives.
Meanwhile, ‘Now You See Me 4’ Is Already in Works
Now that the third instalment in the franchise is expected to be a huge success in cinemas, the team is ready to jump onto the next movie right after Now You See Me: Now You Don’t premieres.
As Variety reported back in April, the franchise’s fourth film has been officially greenlit at Lionsgate ahead of the third movie’s release, with director Ruben Fleischer helming the next part as well.
“Directing ‘Now You See Me: Now You Don’t’ was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things — heist movies and magic — and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course I want to keep it going”, Fleischer said in a statement.
Now You See Me: Now You Don’t will arrive in theatres worldwide on November 14.
