Is it really already doomed?

There’s nothing more exciting than when a new show meets your high expectations. But it's also very disappointing when the same show ends up being something worse that you have imagined it to be.

The new CBS series called Elsbeth had everyone excited to see the iconic character Elsbeth Tascioni, known from The Good Wife and The Good Fight, being a leading star of her very own TV series.

Elsbeth is a Columbo-like show, following the titular character on her journey to discover whoever committed the crime, although the fans already know who is responsible for that.

And while at first the viewers were captivated by the style of the show and were really interested to see Elsbeth solving all the cases in her own quirky style.

But it seems that it’s just getting too cringey and the fans are no longer interested in seeing the lead character solve the most obvious cases. They would rather watch the regular “whodunnit” premise with some twists, rather than spend time on something that is not thrilling enough.

“I LOVE her character, but the layout of the show is SOOOO predictable and expected. They REALLY need to switch up the layout... Personally, I don't like knowing right off the bat WHO the killer is and WHY they killed the victim. I'd rather be left guessing and questioning it throughout most of the show and then of course be surprised/vindicated at the end!” Redditor MamaMel941 said.

Well, with all the hype the show got when it first started, the creators must now be worried that if they don't change something in the next chapter, they might lose all the viewers.

Will Elsbeth Get a Season 2?

Despite whatever grievances fans have with the first season, Elsbeth has already been greenlit for season 2. It wasn’t too big a surprise, since, according to CBS’ own data, the series is averaging 11 million viewers per episode in Live+35 multiplatform viewing.

However, many fans believe that the second season will need a lot of improvement. Some believe it can be achieved through simply adding The Good Wife cameos; others insist that the changes must be way more substantial.

When Does Elsbeth Season 1 Finale Air?
