Marvel is filing copyright claims to pull four leaked Endgame Encore scenes off X — here is what is in them
Disney is selling Endgame Encore on four scenes nobody has seen. As of this morning everybody has seen them, in phone-camera quality, and the takedown notices are going out faster than the reposts. Three of the four are not really Endgame at all.
Spoilers for Avengers: Endgame Encore from here. Early screenings started, phones came out, and by Wednesday morning all four of the new scenes were circulating on X. Marvel has been filing copyright claims to pull them down, which is the closest thing to confirmation anyone is going to get: IGN says it reviewed multiple copies of the footage before the takedowns landed.

Three of the four are not really about Endgame at all. They are the opening moves of Avengers: Doomsday, bolted onto a film from 2019, and they were shot during that film’s production.
Marvel spent months keeping the Doomsday cast list under wraps. Four scenes and one weekend of phone cameras have undone a decent part of it.
What is in the four scenes
The first one rewrites the ending everybody remembers. Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter get their dance, they get their quiet life — and then somebody knocks. Peggy opens the door to Loki, in his TVA incarnation, before the godhood. The read is that he is there to move the Rogers family, son included, onto a different branch of the multiverse, years before Doomsday starts.
The second arrives during the credits. Bruce Banner is two miles underground in an old military bunker, filming a video log about a stabilising serum he is developing, explaining that nobody can reach him down there. Somebody reaches him. Doctor Doom walks in, Robert Downey Jr’s voice says he has come to collect, and Banner starts turning green.

The third scene is the one with the cast list in it. Mobius, Casey and Ouroboros are back at the TVA, with Miss Minutes, watching two Earths from different universes attack each other. One is Universe-1005 — the Fox X-Men timeline. Then they work out that it is not two universes, it is thousands, and the whole structure is coming down.
None of those four had been confirmed for Doomsday. None of them had been seen anywhere since Loki finished in 2023. Neither had Mark Ruffalo, whose Banner was last seen in bad shape at the end of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The fourth is fifteen seconds at the very end of the credits: Doom beating his metal mask into shape with a hammer. It is a straight rhyme with Tony Stark building his first mask in 2008, made louder by the fact that the same hammer sound effects closed the original Endgame. Both characters are played by Downey. Whether the Russos planned that in 2019 or whether somebody spotted the coincidence in 2026 is not a question Marvel is going to answer.
What it is worth at the box office
Encore is a re-release with a few minutes of new footage and a look at a film that does not open until 18 December, and it is being sold as an event. Box Office Theory’s Shawn Robbins puts it at $18–27 million domestic this weekend, in a top five that may be decided by rounding. It is sharing IMAX screens with Resident Evil, which opened at $60.2 million last weekend on 95 percent from critics and 91 from audiences and is not finished yet; Primetime is forecast at $15–22 million, Heart of the Beast and Forgotten Island at $14–19 million each.

Which leaves Disney in an odd position. The leak has told everyone what is in the four scenes, for free, three days before the re-release opens — and the scenes were the entire product.
