Blue Bloods fans and characters are concerned about the same thing.

Blue Bloods Season 13, currently airing on CBS, has been a busy one for the Reagans, especially for Erin, who has had a major character arc development. The second oldest Reagan sibling has decided that the life of an Assistant District Attorney is not enough for her and is now running for District Attorney.

Such a change has caused many fans to worry if Bridget Moynahan, the actress who plays Erin, is set to exit the show. And they are not the only ones. The characters of the beloved police procedural also seem to be worried about Erin's career prospects.

Viewers have seen Anthony Abetemarco feel insecure and left alone after learning of Erin's decision to become the new District Attorney. As seen in the new promo, the character played by Steve Schirripa finally decides to approach Erin and talk to her directly. But he does it in a very beautiful, almost romantic way.

Even though Christmas is long gone, Anthony brings a bunch of wrapped presents and gives them to Erin.

When she expresses surprise, the investigator explains that whenever he has to say goodbye to someone close to him, he prefers to celebrate instead of being sad. And with Erin's DA campaign approaching, it won't be long before they have to go their separate ways. After all, the same thing happened to the previous ADA.

So, could it be that Anthony is right and Erin Reagan/Bridget Moynahan will be leaving Blue Bloods? Let's think about it.

The creators have always said that Blue Bloods is more about family than anything else. And with Erin being an integral part of the fan-favorite Reagan clan, it is highly unlikely that Moynahan could be written out of the procedural. Besides, the actress has more than once expressed her genuine love for the show and her co-stars.

"We know how lucky we are to be on this show … It doesn't come around that often," she told Glamour.

Add to that the fact that New York City, where Blue Bloods is filmed, is the hometown of the 51-year-old actress and her family, and her departure becomes even more unlikely. The upcoming DA campaign will no doubt make for some very interesting and exciting storylines, but as Erin told Anthony, neither she nor the actress playing her seem to be going anywhere.
