Even These 8 Zombie Anime Are Better Than 'The Last of Us' Season 2

The second season of The Last of Us is coming to an end, and it is doing so with significant losses in the ranks of its fan base. The second chapter disappointed a huge number of viewers and received a low 39% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

1. 'Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress', 2016

The inhabitants of this world travel by armored locomotives between closed stations surrounded by high walls. Why? To protect themselves from the Kabane, the risen dead.

6. 'Hitori no Shita: The Outcast', 2015-2023

Even more unexpected for Soran was the appearance of his savior, a girl. Armed with kitchen knives, the stranger quickly dispatches the risen dead and then disappears.

This is their first meeting, but it is far from their last. Later, Soran discovers the world of the supernatural and learns to use the ability he inherited from his grandfather.

7. 'School-Live!', 2015

Yuki Takeya loves going to school and looks forward to each new day spent with her friends. However, her life takes a turn for the worse when a zombie apocalypse hits and she and three other girls are forced to fight for their lives every day.

Unable to bear such torment, the main character plunges into her own little world, where she can meet friends and attend classes. Her friends help her maintain her fantasy, but this often leads to dangerous situations.

8. 'Seoul Station', 2016

Seoul Station is a prequel to the successful horror-action film Train to Busan, also made by Yeon Sang-ho. The anime tells the story of the emergence of a virus that starts a zombie epidemic.

The story centers on three people: Hye-sun, a girl tired of her previous life and unsuccessful relationship with Ki-wooong. The other is her father, Suk-gyu, who finds a photo of his missing daughter and sets out to find her.
