In March 2024, Avatar: The Last Airbender was renewed. In December 2025, the first teaser trailer for the second season was released, confirming that it would premiere in 2026.
The second season of Avatar: The Last Airbender will premiere on Netflix on June 25, 2026. All episodes of the new season will be available on the platform that day.
The exact number of episodes is currently being kept under wraps, though rumors suggest there will be seven. The running time of each episode will be slightly longer than in the first season.

In the world of Avatar, there are people called benders who have the ability to control one of the four elements: Water, Earth, Fire, or Air. The only person capable of mastering all four elements is the Avatar.
The series begins one hundred years after the Fire Nation unleashes a brutal war of conquest. Fire Lord Ozai is closer to victory than ever before, and only the new Avatar can stop him: a twelve-year-old airbender named Aang who has just begun his journey.
In the first season, Aang and his new friends, Katara and Sokka, learn waterbending and try to find the strength to resist the advancing Fire Nation, led by the exiled Prince Zuko and his sister, the ruthless Princess Azula.

The upcoming chapter will feature the entire main cast from the first season. Gordon Cormier will reprise his role as Aang, Kiawentiio will play Katara, and Ian Ousley will play her older brother, Sokka.
