The first season of the Netflix adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's popular manga series, One Piece, premiered in August 2023.
With the release of the hit show's second season finally approaching, here's what we know about the new chapter of One Piece.
When Will 'One Piece' Season 2 Be Released?
The second season of One Piece will premiere on Netflix on March 10, 2026.
As with the first season, all episodes will be available at once, rather than airing on a weekly schedule.
What Will 'One Piece' Season 2 Be About?
In the second season of One Piece, the characters set sail for the Grand Line, a legendary and dangerous sea where adventure, strange islands, and new enemies await them at every turn.
They will reach Loguetown, the city where Gold Roger was executed. In the center of the city stands an execution platform, and visitors can also explore an opera house and a sword shop selling rare weapons.
Reverse Mountain is one of the four points where the North, South, East, and West Blue oceans meet. A river flows up it, making it a dangerous place with storms and strong currents where many pirates have seen their dreams shattered. Yet, Luffy's crew has chosen this path.
Adventurers will also encounter Laboon, a giant whale with scars from collisions with Reverse Mountain, who lives near the lighthouse at Twin Cape. Despite his size, Laboon is friendly and understands human speech.
Judging by the promo, Luffy and his friends will end up in Whisky Peak, a town on Cactus Island that always welcomes pirates. They will be greeted with feasts and beer, but behind the festivities lies a dark truth – this is a haven for bounty hunters.
The friends will also encounter Little Garden, a prehistoric island with a hot climate, hourly volcanic eruptions, and dinosaurs. The island is home to two giants, Brogy and Dorry.
The most impressive sight in the second season of the show will be Drum Island, a snow-covered kingdom with a year-round winter. It is famous for its terrifying, drum-shaped mountains. At its highest peak stands Drum Castle, a Gothic haven where a mysterious witch lives.
Will There Be a Third Season of 'One Piece'?
A third season of One Piece has officially been confirmed. Netflix announced the news at the ONE PIECE Day event in Tokyo in the summer of 2025, well before the release of the second season.
Production has already begun, and filming is continuing in Cape Town, South Africa. As with previous seasons, the original manga's creator, Eiichiro Oda, is involved in the project.
