When Will 'The Pitt' Season 3 Be Released?
The first season of The Pitt aired from January to April of 2025. The second season premiered exactly one year later, in January of 2026. According to the schedule, the third season is set to air another year later, premiering on January 6, 2027.
On June 16, 2026, the creators officially announced the start of filming. As in previous seasons, the upcoming chapter will likely have fifteen episodes.
What Will 'The Pitt' Season 3 Be About?

Although plot details for the third season are still under wraps, it is known that each episode will chronicle one hour of a 15-hour shift in the emergency room, as always.
According to Noah Wyle, the series' lead actor and producer, the action will unfold in early November, before the holidays – likely around Veterans Day or Thanksgiving.
The creators promise to immerse viewers in the topic of professional burnout and explore the price medical professionals pay for saving lives. This topic is especially relevant to the main character, Dr. Robby, who continues to struggle with the effects of the pandemic and personal trauma.
In the third season, Dr. Samira Mohan will leave the hospital. According to the plot, she changes jobs due to panic attacks, doubts about her career, and criticism from Dr. Robinavitch.
Who Will Join the Cast in Season 3?

New actors will join the main cast for the new chapter. Ayesha Harris, known for her role as night shift chief resident Parker Ellis in the first two seasons, will be promoted to series regular and move from the night shift to the day shift.
Pruitt Taylor Vince, Malachi Beasley, Cheyenne Perez, Jeremy Radin, and Rosanny Zayas will also join the cast – their roles have not yet been revealed.
