Everything You Need to Remember Before Watching 'Fallout' Season 2: Season 1 Recap
It is time to refresh our memories.
The long-awaited second season of Fallout, which continues the story of the iconic gaming universe, launches on Prime Video on December 17.
To fully enjoy the new adventures in the post-apocalyptic Wasteland, it's worth revisiting the key events and secrets revealed in the previous season, as well as the fates of the main characters.
What Is 'Fallout' Season 1 About?

The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world that has survived a nuclear war. Some people, like Lucy MacLean, lived carefree in high-tech underground Vaults created by the Vault-Tec Corporation. Others survived on the contaminated surface, known as the Wasteland.
This world teems with mutants and bandit raiders who fight endlessly over the remnants of technology. Looming over it all is a powerful, militarized order – the Brotherhood of Steel.
The Three Main Characters Are Connected by One Goal – Dr. Wilzig

The first season brought together three characters from very different backgrounds. Lucy MacLean, a naive yet determined resident of Vault 33, ventured into the dangerous outside world to rescue her kidnapped father, Hank MacLean.
Maximus, an ambitious squire of the Brotherhood of Steel, posed as a fallen knight to gain favor and retrieve a valuable artifact.
Cooper Howard, also known as the Ghoul, is an immortal mutant gunslinger and a cynical, brutal survivalist who has spent centuries searching for his missing family. The three characters' paths crossed during the hunt for the mysterious scientist Dr. Wilzig.
Secrets of the Vaults and a Shocking Past
As Lucy and her brother, Norm investigated, they discovered that the idealistic world of the bunkers was a cruel illusion.
The Vaults turned out to be part of a massive Vault-Tec experiment, and the corporation had deliberately provoked the nuclear war to "reset" the world.
In the cryo-chambers of Vault 31, the corporation's top executives await their turn. Lucy's father, Hank, was a key Vault-Tec manager and is now the keeper of dark secrets.
Lucy's mother and Cold Fusion

In the finale, Lucy found her father, but she also learned a terrible truth. Having learned of the resurgence of life on the surface, her mother tried to escape with her children. However, Hank destroyed an entire town, Shady Sands, to reclaim his daughter and son.
It turned out that Dr. Wilzig's head was a container for a cold fusion capsule – the key to unlimited energy. Under pressure from Lucy, Hank activated the device, and electric light illuminated the ruins for the first time in 200 years.
This moment became a symbol of hope for a new beginning for the inhabitants of the Wasteland. However, it will also mark the beginning of a new struggle for power and resources in the second season.
