A simple, but hearty dish that you’ll be cooking more frequently from now on.

Even if you already have your own list of comfort food recipes, sometimes it’s normal to wish for something new and unusual. This is where comfort food famous in other countries can come in handy, and the recipe for a delicious Scottish stew is a great example.

The dish itself won’t take much of your time for preparation, so make sure you keep this recipe close just in case your family will ask for something new and tasty.

Ingredients: 500 g of minced meat, 1 slice of white bread (crust removed), 4 tablespoons of milk, 2–3 onions, 80 g of napa cabbage, 30 g of flour, 450 ml of water, 1 tablespoon of tomato paste, 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, salt and black pepper to taste.

Pour milk over the bread and let it rest for a couple of minutes to soften. Then mix it with the ground meat, add finely chopped onion, salt, and pepper; use this mixture to form small meatballs.

Fry them in a skillet until golden brown and set aside for a moment. In the same skillet, fry the onions until golden, add the flour, and stir quickly. Gradually pour in hot water, add the tomato paste, and cook until slightly thickened.

Put the meatballs back in, add the chopped napa cabbage, cover, and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes.
