1. Misery (1990)

First comes a masterpiece based on Stephen King 's psychological novel about a writer who becomes a prisoner of his obsessive fan. It’s clearly one of the best adaptations of the King of Horror’s novels and one of the creepiest thrillers of all time.

2. Basic Instinct (1992)

We all know the title of this seductive crime noir, but if you haven’t seen it yet, why not? Starring Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone, the story of a police detective who falls for his prime suspect is a must-watch for every fan of wild erotic thrillers.

3. Primal Fear (1996)

Next is Richard Gere’s court film that follows a defense attorney who becomes sure of his client’s innocence in the case of murdering a Catholic archbishop. It is a hard watch, yet a vital one, and be sure there is a jaw-dropping twist waiting for you in the finale.

4. The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (1992)

90s thrillers were often led by women, and so was this psychological thriller. Here we observe a suburban housewife, who goes into all serious after she acknowledges her husband’s sexual misconduct. The performances of the female leads are impeccable here.

5. Lost Highway (1997)

David Lynch is one of the most notorious directors of the 90s, and this neo-noir is the master’s darkest film. The story of a couple who begin receiving mysterious VHS tapes of them in their own home is full of unexpected turns and surrealistic details.
