Forget Ladyfingers! The Secret to the Best 30-Minute Tiramisu Is This Unexpected Raisin Twist
You won’t have to book tickets to Italy to try the most authentic Italian dessert in a little bit different manner.
It’s no secret that the Italian cuisine has never stopped conquering the world thanks to simplicity of its main dishes and accessibility of their ingredients. Apart from the famous pizza and pasta, the Italians are also extremely proud of their tiramisu recipe which has since adapted millions of versions with all kinds of taste.
If you crave for the classic Italian dessert, but with a bit unusual twist, this recipe is exactly what you need — especially since it doesn’t take more than 30 minutes to prepare this delicious sweet treat.
Ingredients: 3 eggs, 70 g of sugar, vanilla (extract or vanilla sugar) to your liking, 250 g of mascarpone, 2 tsp of chia seeds, raisin rusks, strong coffee, cocoa powder, milk chocolate.
Make strong coffee and let it cool completely. Then separate the eggs into whites and yolks. Combine the yolks with sugar and beat until the mixture is light and thick; add vanilla for flavor.
Separately, lightly stir the mascarpone until smooth and lump-free. Then gently fold it into the egg mixture and mix until you have a smooth cream. Add the chia seeds and mix again.
Take a baking dish and line the bottom with a layer of raisin rusks, quickly dipping them in the cooled coffee so they absorb the liquid but don’t get too soggy. Spread a layer of cream on top.
Repeat the layers: another layer of coffee-soaked rusks, then cream, until all the ingredients are used up.
Smooth the top layer of cream, sprinkle with cocoa powder, and add grated milk chocolate. Place the dessert in the fridge for a few hours so it soaks well and solidifies.
