However, serving them the same way week after week can easily make your family meals feel a bit repetitive. Instead of settling for the usual plain routine, this brilliant upgrade turns a basic vegetable into a decadent comfort food feast.
The savory combination of soft, buttery potatoes topped with a golden blanket of bubbling cheese, aromatic garlic, and tender mushrooms is the perfect excuse to skip the meat tonight and dive into pure, heartwarming satisfaction.
Ingredients: 700–800 g of boiled potatoes, 300 g of button mushrooms, 1 onion, 120 g of hard cheese, 1 clove of garlic, 3–4 tbsp of sour cream, vegetable oil for frying, salt and pepper to taste.
Cut the boiled potatoes into large chunks and place them in a baking dish. In a skillet, fry the chopped mushrooms and onions until golden brown, then add the minced garlic at the end.
Mix the mushrooms with sour cream and some of the grated cheese, then season with salt and pepper.
