You can serve it at a party or simple family dinner — you choose.

Those familiar with the French cuisine likely know that the meat prepared in the most authentic French style usually requires an oven’s presence, which can become a problem for those who aren’t really good at using it. However, some came up with simplified versions of the meat à la française, with this one describing how to prepare the most delicate and delicious meat using only a skillet.

The dish turns out even better than in the original recipe, so keep this instruction for the next time you invite your friends for a dinner.

Ingredients: 400–500 g of pork, 600 g of potatoes, 1 onion, 2 cloves of garlic, 1–2 tomatoes, 100–150 g of cheese, fresh herbs to taste, salt and pepper to your liking, vegetable oil for frying.

Cut the meat into thin slices and quickly fry over high heat until lightly browned.

Then add the potatoes, cut into slices, and fry uncovered for about 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally to develop a golden crust.

Next, add the onion and garlic, season with salt and pepper, and cook for a few more minutes; the aroma will immediately become more intense.

When the potatoes are almost done, arrange the tomato slices on top, add a little salt, sprinkle with grated cheese, and cover. Leave on low heat until the cheese has completely melted.

Sprinkle with herbs before serving.
