The only thing that ruined the vibe of an otherwise great episode.

The Boys fans are feeling pretty happy about its spinoff, Gen V, so far. While the show has already given us some epic moments, there's one thing from the recent episode 4 that some fans believe could have been better.

Spoiler alert for Gen V episode 4.

Episode 4 was a whirlwind. From Marie and Jordan's unexpected connection (who saw that coming?) to the intense showdown with Sam, there was a lot to unpack. But amidst all the drama, some viewers felt that there was one glaring omission: Emma and Sam's escape. The show left the escape off-screen, and fans on Reddit were quick to point it out.

For those who might need a refresher, in episode 3, we saw Emma sneak into Sam's cell, and the two shared some heartfelt moments. Emma, in her shrunken form, was trying to help Sam escape, and by the end of the episode, alarms were ringing, guards were storming in, and things were looking pretty intense.

Switching to episode 4, while we got some epic moments, the escape sequence was conspicuously absent. Instead, we were thrown into the aftermath, with no clear idea of how our heroes managed to get out of that situation.

While most viewers loved the episode in general, the consensus is clear: fans wanted to see Emma and Sam's escape. It's not every day that we see a couple of teen supes team up for a daring breakout. To not see it play out on screen felt like a missed opportunity.

Some might argue that it's not that important for the story and that the show should focus on the bigger picture. But let’s be honest, when we invest in a story, we want to see it all. The fourth episode only shows the consequences of Sam’s escape, but not the escape, and it feels like we've been robbed.

Anyway, Gen V continues to deliver in terms of drama and action, and the spinoff is definitely not inferior to its predecessor. Fans are going to eagerly count down the days until episode 5 drops on Prime Video on October 13th.
