Golden Potatoes, Smoky Aromas, and Tender Chicken: The Ultimate One-Pot Polish Feast
A perfect dinner option at any time of the year.
Even though each country or continent has its own sort of comfort food that can be cooked at home at any time, Eastern Europe has become famous across the world thanks to its hearty and simple dishes.
Those meals usually include potatoes and some kind of meat, though the famous Polish stew also includes sauerkraut and smoked meats, thus offering the most delicious flavor and taste.
Ingredients: 4 chicken drumsticks, 500 g of sauerkraut, 4–5 potatoes, 200 g of smoked sausages, 3 tomatoes, 1 tbsp of paprika, 3 tbsp of vegetable oil, salt and pepper to taste.
Cut the potatoes into large pieces, slice the sausages into rounds, peel the tomatoes, and chop them.
Mix the cabbage with the potatoes, sausages, and tomatoes, add the spices, and place in a baking dish. Coat the drumsticks with paprika, oil, and salt, and arrange them on top. Cover with foil.
Bake at 180 °C for about an hour until golden brown and the potatoes softening. You will end up with a hearty stew with a distinctive “smoky” flavor that will quickly become your family’s favorite dish.
