Millions of fans looking forward to spending some time with Star Lord and his motley crew of space outlaws this July should get ready for a rather unpleasant surprise.

The 'Love and Thunder' trailers promised that Thor would not be alone in fighting the dreaded Gorr, intent on killing all the gods in the MCU, and that he would be joined by fan-favorite Guardians of the Galaxy. But the promotional materials seem to have confused fans a bit by not specifying how much time Rocket, Drax and Star Lord will spend with the Asgardian warrior. It's only now, after the world premiere of 'Thor 4', that we finally know the answer to that question – and it's pretty sad.

According to a famous insider, Star Lord and the others will indeed appear in the film as supporting characters, not cameos. But the beloved team will only be shown in two scenes at the very beginning, which makes the whole idea of including them in the movie a bit pointless and cash-grabby.

But despite this major disappointment, it seems that fans are quite okay with it, citing that expecting Dave Bautista, Chris Pratt and others to shoot an entire movie would be an overkill.

"I am completely fine with it. Didn't want a Thor movie turning into a GOTG adventure with Thor tagging along. I definitely wouldn't mind Rocket and Groot being supporting characters throughout the whole film though, they work extremely well and naturally off of Thor without taking spotlight off of him." – /MosEquis.

But fans are worried about another thing related to this revelation – that 'Love and Thunder' might actually underperform at the box office, as audiences are probably expecting a big crossover of Thor and Guardians of the Galaxy.

"I think the box office will take a hit because they waited too long to start marketing this film and until recently they haven't shown much of anything in their ads. My concern is that the CGI is going to look bad." – /Cafeterialoca.

'Thor: Love and Thunder ' will arrive to cinemas around U.S. on July 8, 2022.
