Patricia Arquette Teases "Inside" Season 3 Update

Severance’s fans have now been in a waiting mode since the show’s second season wrapped back in March, but there might be another confirmation of them not having to wait too much anyway.

Since it took three years for Apple TV+’s biggest sci-fi hit to return with another season, Severance is now expected by some to follow the same and pretty annoying pattern of releasing a new instalment every three years, leading to many fans predicting the third season’s drop sometime in 2028.

However, the series’ many cast and crew members, including producer/director Ben Stiller, have repeatedly stated that the enormous gap between two seasons was more of an exception rather than a rule.

This is also what Harmony Cobel’s actress Patricia Arquette has recently confirmed.

Patricia Arquette Says ‘Severance’ Season 3 Won’t Take That Long

Just like Ben Stiller who has already promised the same thing to Severance’s fans multiple times, the actress suggested that this time the entire production team will do whatever it takes to bring the third season to Apple TV+’s platform quicker than before.

“I know people have been so patient and I thought, ‘Oh, they’re never going to wait as long as it took for Season 2’. But I don’t think it’ll take that long”, Arquette said in a recent interview with CNN, adding that, despite all, the writers will also take their time to keep the show’s quality on top.

However, Arquette can’t really guarantee anything either since, well, we have no idea what’s about to happen to the entire world next year or the year after.

“But you never know. The first season we had Covid, (and) the second season we had a huge strike, so we don’t know what’s happening in this world”, the actress revealed.

Now that Severance’s next instalment is getting ready to be pushed into production, Arquette says that the cast has already had a chance to get into what’s next for Lumon Industries’ severed employees after that shocking season 2 finale — but not for much though.

“I have some inside information, but I’ll never tell you”, Arquette teased more possible twists and turns in the next season, saying that, to give her the credit, she doesn’t even share all this with her closest friends.

As for the third season’s script, this is now what has so far reached the leading cast.

“I have not seen a script for Season 3, but I have been talking to the writers”, Arquette stated.

With the most optimistic predictions, Severance’s season 3 is now expected to be released on Apple TV+ sometime in late 2026 or 2027.
