"Hogwarts is not the same without you, Hagrid." Yeah, well...

The ending for the Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets movie is considered by many fans to be one of the most wholesome and feel-good moments in the entire movie saga. However, if you think about it, there is a catch — and it's pretty dark.

Have you ever thought of how unfair, in fact, the entire Hogwarts treated Hagrid when he came back from Azkaban? Because Redditor Nickizgr8 certainly has.

"Hagrid was sent to Azkaban, Azkaban! To be possibly tortured by Dementors, without a trial just because they thought he might be the person causing the attacks on muggleborns and needed a scapegoat," the fan explained. "I know Chamber is still a kids movie but I just can't stand the tone in that last scene, everyone's pretending as if Hagrid was just in the Drunk Tank for a couple of days."

Even the fact that the owl they sent to have Hagrid back was Errol — the very bird almost everybody knew would definitely fail to complete the task properly. When the bird was hitting its head on windows (or whatever this owl might have been up to), Hagrid was just there having to go through "a few extra hours of emotional waterboarding", as the fan put it.

It only makes things worse when the very next movie, Prisoner of Azkaban, sheds light on how horribly these prisoners are treated, even when they are innocent.

We don't know about you, but it seems that a round of applause is not a good enough compensation for what Hagrid had to deal with while he was imprisoned for something he clearly wasn't guilty of.

And if we just ruined your favorite ending... well, now you know why it was problematic at the very least.
