Harry Potter Kickstarted Ralph Fiennes' Nephew's Career: See Where He Is Now

Hero Fiennes Tiffin became worldwide popular after his role in the movie After, based on the bestseller of the same name by Anna Todd, which sold tens of millions of copies and was translated into more than 30 languages around the world.

The movie did well at the box office and two more sequels have been filmed so far, with the fourth and final movie coming out in the fall of 2023.

Many fans who only know the actor from this role will be surprised to learn that Hero began his acting career in one of the most successful and popular franchises in film history, Harry Potter.

Hero played young Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Apparently, it was not only his convincing acting talent that helped him get the role, but also the fact that Hero looked a lot like his uncle, who played Voldemort himself, Ralph Fiennes.

Hero's entire family is involved in world of cinema – his mother and father are film directors, and his uncles are actors Ralph and Joseph Fiennes.

When Hero was cast as Tom Riddle, some believed that his uncle Ralph, who worked on the project and played Lord Voldemort, had put in a good word for his nephew.

However, the director dispelled the rumors, saying that he appreciated the determination and discipline of the novice actor, as well as his ability to show the dark side of the human soul.

The young actor once admitted that he would like to join Slytherin: firstly, because it is in his blood, and secondly, because the idea that there is only evil there is wrong.

After became a springboard for the actor into more serious projects. Hero has joined the cast of Guy Ritchie 's movie The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, where he will star alongside Henry Cavill and Eiza Gonzalez.

The actor will also star in the movie Come As You Are with Sophie Turner. The thriller will tell the story of a woman whose social media career leads her down a dark path.
