Guy Ritchie ’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’s shooting process for some has turned out to be quite a challenging experience — and it’s not exclusively about the plot. A fellow actor of Henry Cavill who stars in the brand new film has revealed that the latter actually saved their life.

Cavill’s co-star Alex Pettyfer, talking about the movie in one of his recent interviews, admitted that Henry Cavill had prevented him from falling off a boat thus saving Pettyfer from drowning.

The actor expressed his gratitude towards the brave colleague and also unveiled a sweet message that Cavill had sent him before they started working on The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare — two weeks prior to the start of the shooting Alex Pettyfer received an email from Henry Cavill which said “I'm excited to collaborate with you”.

Set to be released in the US on April 19, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is Guy Ritchie’s new spy action comedy film starring (except Alex Pettyfer and Henry Cavill) Elza González, Alan Ritchson, Henry Golding and many others.

The upcoming movie is partially based on real historical events and takes most of its plot from Damien Lewis’s book that significantly fictionalized the real storyline.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare may become a kind of salvation for Henry Cavill after his latest film, Argylle with Bryce Dallas Howard and Dua Lipa in the cast, has suffered a total defeat in the box office, despite a seemingly promising plot.
