Settle in for a crossover extravaganza!

When it started in 2012, no one could have predicted that Chicago Fire would fan the flames of such a popular franchise. But that's exactly what it has become, growing so big that it now has multiple crossover episodes with other Chicago Universe shows, some of which have even spawned other One Chicago spin-offs.

While some fans love the crossover episodes, others feel that they don't really showcase the best of the individual shows, seeing them as a sort of Christmas specials - quirky rather than quality.

This episode served as a backdoor pilot for Chicago P.D. Following the death of Hallie, Casey works with the Police Intelligence Unit (now run by Voight) to track down the arsonist.

As the CFD and CPD charity run sets off, a huge explosion takes place. Chaos ensues, with police trying to track down the offenders, the public in panic and the fire service tackling the blaze. Mills discovers another bomb while Casey and Severide desperately search for Dawson among the rubble.

This episode starts a crossover with Chicago P.D. that concludes with 8.30 PM episode (S1, E12).

Chili receives a lukewarm reception as the new PIC on Ambulance 61. 51 responds to a fire connected to a case of rape and attempted murder, while Rice comes under suspicion.

The arson investigation sees the CPD work with the Special Victims Unit.

This episode starts a crossover that includes Chicago P.D. and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit that continues with The Number of Rats (S2, E20) and concludes with Daydream Believer (S16, E20).

This episode starts a crossover with Chicago P.D. and Chicago Justice that continues with Emotional Proximity (S4, E16) and concludes with Fake (S1, E01).

This episode launches a crossover with Chicago Med and Chicago P.D. that continues with When to Let Go (S4, E2) and finishes with Endings (S6, E2).

Cruz intends to propose to his girlfriend Chloe and Boden is unpopular as he chooses his firehouse to be on duty during the Oktoberfest festivities.

The episode starts a three-part crossover that includes Infection: Part II (S5, E4) on Chicago Med and Infection: Part III on Chicago P.D. (S7, E4).
