Here’s The One Ingredient in Your Sauce That Turns Potatoes into a Gourmet Feast
A perfect combination of crispy potatoes and creamy sauce complemented by pickles.
Even though there’s hundreds of different recipes of popular snacks out there in social media, sometimes they seem too complicated and exotic to fit most of the guests’ taste.
But who doesn’t like potatoes served with a delicious sauce? That’s the motto of this recipe for crispy potatoes accompanied by sour cream and pickle sauce — all the ingredients make a perfect blend of taste that both you and your guests will never forget.
Here’s what you need: 1 kg of potatoes, 50 g of butter, salt and pepper to taste.
For the sauce: 1 large onion, 2–3 pickled cucumbers, 4–5 tbsp of sour cream, 1 clove of garlic, herbs, processed cheese or regular cheese, butter for frying.
Wash the potatoes thoroughly and boil them in their skins until almost tender. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and gently press down on each potato with a glass. Brush the tops with melted butter, then season with salt and pepper.
Bake in the oven for about 25–30 minutes at 200°C until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy. While they’re baking, finely chop the onion and fry it in butter until golden brown.
Cut the pickled cucumbers into small cubes, then add the grated cheese, garlic, and herbs. Mix everything with sour cream and the fried onions.
Arrange the cooked potatoes on plates and generously top with the sauce.
