Here’s Why ‘Paw Patrol’ Fans Are Divided on Liberty

Introduced as one of the lead characters and an essential member of the Paw Patrol team, Liberty has had a major issue with the show’s grown-up fans all along — here’s everything about the matter.
Words of adoration aren’t limited when it comes to Paw Patrol’s cutest puppies that are ready to do anything to protect their city from dangers; however, some of them have had a significantly bigger number of devoted fans than the others.
It’s fair to say Chase or Marshall, the team’s most certain leads, might be the most popular options for a list of favorites, though other puppies have conquered everyone’s hearts too — probably, except for Liberty.
Despite not causing significant trouble, the character has been frequently criticised for a possibly reasonable motif.
Who Is Liberty in ‘Paw Patrol’?
In the show, Liberty is a long-haired Dachshund who grew up and lives in Adventure City.
Before joining the team, Liberty was a stray dog, actually dreaming about meeting her real-life heroes, the Paw Patrol puppies, sometime in her life.
When she finally got a chance to prove herself, Liberty pushed herself through all limits and later debuted as a new Paw Patrol member in Paw Patrol: The Movie.
Energetic and extremely loyal to her city and its citizens, Liberty is responsible for protecting Adventure City, both with her other Paw Patrol teammates and solo when the rest of the puppies are in Adventure Bay.
‘Paw Patrol’ Fans Don’t See Much Sense in Liberty’s Duties
Unlike the most of her fellow puppies in Paw Patrol, Liberty actually doesn’t have specific duties and mostly has to protect the city from whatever danger out there, also relying on some help from other pups.
This has been quite an issue for the show’s fans who didn’t see much of Liberty’s contribution into the team’s work.
“Liberty is a good for nothing pup that accomplishes nothing, takes all the credit, and gets a hot new whip on the dime of the good people of Adventure City. She should be removed from the Patrol until she truly earns her stripes”, Redditor DrPeterVankman complained in a show-related thread a while ago.
However, even with some fans agreeing that Liberty hasn’t done as much as the other team members so far, others retorted by saying that she actually had a pivotal role in some of Paw Patrol’s missions.
“So… guiding the team through a city they don’t know anything about yet, intentionally getting kidnapped in an attempt to save Chase, and saving literal lives, isn’t earning your position? Ryder isn’t looking for dogs who can do it all; he’s looking for dogs who are willing to put others first for the greater good. And also help them when they’re having a ptsd breakdown”, AntiqueSpare794 commented.
